Welcome to my page. I am excited to be a part of the Pickens Junior High School family. This is my fifth school year at PJHS. Prior to teaching in Pickens County, I taught Middle School Social Studies and Language Arts in Macon, Georgia for fifteen years, and one year in Blue Ridge, Georgia after moving to the beautiful mountains of north Georgia.  I graduated from Wesleyan College with a degree in Middle Grade Education (Social Studies/ELA concentration) and then went on to get my Master's and Specialist degrees from Georgia College & State University.

 

In addition to being a part of the PJHS family, I have a wonderful family of my own. My husband and I have four grown children, a one year old granddaughter, a large extended family and two very spoiled dogs. In my spare time, I enjoy baking goodies for family and friends, taking long walks and working in my yard.
