Kristin Deering

Welcome to my Social Studies page!  I am excited that I am on the 8th grade Pickens Junior High School team!  This year is my third year teaching in Pickens County. I previously taught for 2 years in Forsyth County and 11 years in Cherokee County.  I have taught in elementary and middle school and was a paraprofessional in a high school in all subject areas.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania.  

Outside of teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 3 children.  We like to cheer on the local school sports teams and go on hikes with our 4 dogs. I am an assistant coach for Pickens High School Cross Country, and PJHS basketball and soccer.
