Gypsy Frix's 7th Grade Virtual Math and Science

Ms. Frix 7th Grade Math

I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Piedmont College in Middle Grades Education where I played both basketball and softball. I received a Master’s Degree from Lesley University in Technology in Education. I am certified in middle grades science, math, and social studies and special education. I have endorsements in both reading and ESOL. I am also trained to be an LEA representative for special education.

Before starting in Pickens County in February 2015, I taught in the Forsyth County School System since 2001. I started my career with Forsyth as an EBD self-contained paraprofessional for three years. Then I became a special education teacher at Forsyth Central High School where I taught and co-taught biology and earth science for four years until I transferred to Forsyth County’s alternative school, Gateway Academy, where I was the special education department chair/coordinator for five years. While at Gateway, I co-taught grades 9-12 science and social studies and taught 6-8 science and social studies. While teaching in Pickens County I have taught 6th grade science and social studies, 8th grade math, 7th grade math, science, and social studies. This year I am teaching all virtual.

A little about me:
My family and friends are very important to me. In my free time I love to read, see movies, travel, live music, live stand-up comedy shows, learning to restore classic cars/trucks (interior, body work, engine), fixing and building things, and most of all spending time with family and friends. I've had dogs all my life but I love all kind animal. I currently have a dog and two cats, Blanca (Pomeranian), Sage (Sphynx-Naked/hairless kitten), and Smudge (Sphynx-Naked/hairless cat). I am very allergic to cats but blessed to no be allergic to the Sphinx bread.

I am available by email inside of Pearson Connexus. I am not currently working on campus so I will be doing live meets through Google for contact/meetings.
