Welcome to PJHS Chorus & Drama Class

Mrs. Lauren Tolar is the Choral and Theatre Director for Pickens Junior High School in Jasper, GA.

Mrs. Tolar graduated from Reinhardt University in May of 2015 with her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. There, she participated in the Concert Choir, advanced Chamber Choir and Opera Program. Mrs. Tolar has performed with a selected ensemble at Carnegie Hall in New York and at the 2015 Georgia Music Educator Association Conference in Savannah, GA.

Mrs. Tolar also acts as the Music Director for the FX Productions Community Musicals. She has been a part of the creative team for A Christmas Story, The Musical (2017), Shrek, The Musical (2018), and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (2020). Additionally, Mrs. Tolar teaches private voice and piano lessons outside of school.

This is Mrs. Tolar's fifth year teaching at PJHS and she is excited for another great year with the students and parents of PJHS Chorus! Mrs. Tolar's classroom provides a safe environment for students to take risks musically and ultimately become more confident and well-rounded young adults
