Mrs. Kanyon Petti - Assistant Principal

Mrs. Kanyon Petti
My name is Kanyon Petti, and I am so excited to serve as Assistant Principal this year. The 2021-22 school year will mark my ninth year in education; I served six of those years at Pickens High School as an English Language Arts teacher, department chair, and cheerleading coach. After graduating from Pickens High School in 2000, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Master's degree in Secondary Education, and Specialist's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. The education I received from the Pickens County School System laid the foundation for my future success, and I am thankful to have the opportunity to give back to the system that instilled a love of learning at such a young age. Here at PJHS, we believe in the importance of meaningful educational experiences and are determined to offer your child the best learning environment possible.
More personally, I am happily married to my husband, Vince. We have three children: Amanda, Damian, and Brayly. In my free time, I enjoy beekeeping, fishing, gardening, reading and spending time at our family campsite.
Lastly, I want to thank the students, parents, community members, and staff members for their support thus far. Pickens County is a wonderful place to call home, and I look forward to a safe, happy, and healthy school year.
